Gender-based violence in the workplace remains a serious barrier to safety and inclusion. According to the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE, 2022), harassment can take many forms, including psychological abuse, bullying, isolation, and sexual violence, such as unwanted advances, sexist remarks, or blackmail. These behaviours harm victims’ mental well-being and self-esteem, while also negatively affecting productivity, workplace climate, and organisational performance. Many victims struggle to recognise or address these situations, and employers often lack the awareness or tools needed to respond effectively.
The Beyond Fear project aims to close this gap by empowering both workers and organisations. Its main objectives are to raise awareness among female workers about their rights and strategies for preventing violence, and to provide practical tools to help recognise, address, and respond to harassment and abuse. In parallel, the project supports companies in developing and implementing policies, practices, and cultures that promote respect, safety, and inclusion. By tackling gender-based violence at both individual and organisational levels, the project contributes to the creation of equitable, healthy, and sustainable workplaces.
The project delivers a comprehensive set of results designed to prevent and address gender-based violence in the workplace through research, training, digital innovation, and organisational change. Each output builds on the previous one, creating a coherent pathway from evidence to action.
The project newsletters provide insights into the project’s ongoing activities and outcomes, focusing on research findings, capacity-building actions, and innovative resources developed to combat gender-based violence at work. It offers a space to share knowledge and good practices across partner countries and beyond.
This section provides updates on the Beyond Fear project's events and news, including meetings, training sessions, dissemination activities, and public initiatives. It showcases how the project engages stakeholders, shares results, and fosters dialogue on preventing gender-based violence in the workplace.
